HYPE Hockey

HYPE stands for “Help Your Play Excel.” Players who join HYPE Hockey will be working on stick skills and drills that help them elevate their level of outdoor Field Hockey performance.

HYPE consists of training one time a week at the St. Luke’s Fitness and Sports Performance Center at 3321 Seventh Street in Whitehall, PA 18052.  We will be in the second building, the FIELD HOUSE, this winter.
























Players need an outdoor hockey stick, shin guards, and a mouth guard.  Any type of outdoor athletic footwear will work on the infill turf surface, including sneakers.  If you need assistance with equipment, please email the club.


HYPE starts Wednesday, October 30, 2024, and runs for six sessions.

75 minute sessions begin at 5:45 PM and end on the following hour.

Specific times for each age group TBA.

PAPERWORK for hype:


1- required st. luke's DAILY on-line waiver here (on-line WAIVER form).  This can also be done on site at a kiosk.


2- Either a currently valid USA Field Hockey member number (you may email your number to the club),


or,


3- for those who have never been a USAFH member in their life, a local membership through Marojoka by submitting this form and paying ten dollars to the club. 

 

NOTE: St. Luke's does not handle USA field hockey paperwork.  please submit any usa fh paPERS TO ANY MAROJOKA STAFF MEMBER. 


a local membership through our club is good for one single year, does not entitle you to participate in any usa field hockey events other than local sessions with the marojoka hockey club, is only available once in a player's lifetime, and only if they have never been a member of USA Field Hockey at any time in the past (even with another club).  After one year, to participate in future USA sanctioned clubs or events, you will need to

sign-up for a full membership.


SAFETY at HYPE:

Should St. Luke's Health Network, or the Pennsylvania department of Health, institute any health advisories this winter, we will institute our club player safety procedures detailed here.
